Role: Social Media Lead (Twitter & Farcaster)

About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp, self-directed Social Media Lead who understands crypto culture and knows how to build meaningful presence where the right users already are—especially on Farcaster and Twitter. You’ll be responsible for driving content, engagement, and growth across these channels with high signal, not fluff.

This is not a traditional social media role. You’ll be expected to lead with taste, conviction, and an eye for both subtle and high-leverage moves. You’ll be working closely with the marketing, growth, and ecosystem teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the full social media strategy across Twitter, Farcaster, and Reddit.
• Grow our presence on Farcaster with high-quality, regular posts that resonate with builders, and power users
• Write, edit, and schedule posts across Octant accounts with a strong grasp of crypto tone, memes, narrative shifts, and drama
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to amplify launches, events, ecosystem updates, and community-led campaigns
• Monitor and report on performance weekly, and use that to inform what gets repeated or dropped
• Engage with relevant communities, key ecosystem influencers, and partner projects in a way that builds credibility
• Experiment with new formats (audio/video, longform threads, image carousels, etc.) and track performance
• Stay current with crypto Twitter/Farcaster pulse and leverage narratives as they emerge

Who You Are

• Deeply crypto-native with real time spent in Farcaster, Twitter, Reddit, Telegram, and Discord
• Strong writing skills with a distinct tone and POV—your posts get attention without sounding corporate or like an AI
• You understand crypto subcultures and can speak to builders, token holders, and governance contributors fluently
